Is plasterboard the same as ordinary mixed rubble?
No. Identify it separately and agree handling and acceptance before collection. Do not assume a general mixed-load quote covers it.

Identify the waste streams
List rubble, soil, timber, metal, packaging and plasterboard separately. Tell the collector about coatings, contamination or unknown materials. A non-hazardous collection cannot accept every material found during building work.
02 / Good to know
Avoid mixing everything together
Keep plasterboard identifiable and separate where practical, and ask the provider for preparation instructions. Segregation helps the collector assess the correct handling route; hiding material inside mixed bags makes the enquiry less accurate.

Respect payload and lifting limits
A dense load may need multiple collections or another type of service. Do not assume an empty-looking cage can take unlimited bags of rubble. Describe bag sizes and quantities without overloading containers.
04 / Good to know
Stop if asbestos is suspected
Do not break or disturb suspect materials. Use a suitable specialist for identification and removal. Shift It Surrey’s ordinary clearance service excludes asbestos and contaminated waste.
