The practical details for man & van waste removal — before you decide to book.
What does this service include?
A van, a helpful crew and the lifting included. A practical collection for unwanted household, garden and business items that are ready to go.
What can be collected?
Mixed household clutter; Furniture and bulky items; Bagged rubbish and packaging; Non-hazardous garden and renovation waste. Acceptance and scope are agreed before booking.
What cannot be collected?
Asbestos, toxic or contaminated material, chemicals, clinical waste, gas bottles, explosives and unknown liquids are excluded from ordinary clearance. Specialist appliances, upholstered items and heavy materials must be identified and accepted separately.
How does collection work?
Send item and access photos with your full postcode. We assess the load and receiving requirements, agree a quote and collection slot, then carry and load only the agreed items from safe access points.
How should I prepare?
Photograph all the items, not just the front of the pile. Show the loading route and any steps. Identify rubble, soil, plasterboard and electrical items. Do not move a heavy or unsafe item just to take a photo.
Do I need to be present?
You or an authorised person should confirm the items and provide access. An unattended collection must be specifically agreed in advance, with safe access and an unambiguous remove list; do not assume it is available.
What access information is needed?
Tell us whether the waste is indoors, at the rear of a property or on a shared drive. Include the walk to a lawful loading place, not just a photo of the pile.
What affects the price?
Volume, payload weight, carrying time and the disposal stream affect the quote. A half-full cage of rubble is not equivalent to a half-full cage of light household bags.
What happens after collection?
The route depends on the materials collected. Ask about authorised receiving facilities and the records for your load; a carrier registration is not itself a permit for every waste stream.

Is this the same as a removals service?
No. Waste clearance is for unwanted items going for disposal or recovery. If you need possessions transported to another address, use our man and van transport enquiry and describe both addresses.
What alternatives should I consider?
Compare a skip if waste is produced gradually and you can load it. A council bulky collection may suit a few approved household items that you can present outside.
What should I do next?
Call 07912 343234, Monday–Friday 9am–6pm, or prepare a photo enquiry. Include the full item list, postcode and access. An enquiry is not a confirmed booking; wait for an agreed scope, price and slot.
01 / Good to know
More than a tip run
The useful part of a man and van clearance is the loading. Tell us which items should go, where they are and how the crew can reach them. We assess the load, agree the scope and arrange a collection rather than leave a skip outside for you to fill.

When this is the right option
A one-off clear-out, several bulky items or a load that needs carrying from the property can suit a crew-led collection. Waste produced gradually over a building project, or very large quantities of dense rubble, may be better handled by a skip or another specialist service.

Know what is included
Ask the team to confirm labour, disposal, any dismantling, parking constraints and extra charges before booking. A full-looking cage van is not a promise that every load is safe by weight.

The complete clear-out
A clear scope.
A tidy finish.
The crew removes the agreed items from safe access points and loads the van. Disposal type, weight and access are assessed before the collection.
Asbestos, chemicals, clinical waste, gas bottles, explosives and unknown liquids are outside ordinary clearance. Specialist items need separate agreement.
