The practical details for furniture removal — before you decide to book.
What does this service include?
A practical way to remove bulky furniture from your home or workplace, from one wardrobe to several rooms of unwanted items.
What can be collected?
Wardrobes, tables and chairs; Beds and unwanted furniture; Sofas and armchairs assessed separately; Bulky items from safe agreed access points. Acceptance and scope are agreed before booking.
What cannot be collected?
Asbestos, toxic or contaminated material, chemicals, clinical waste, gas bottles, explosives and unknown liquids are excluded from ordinary clearance. Specialist appliances, upholstered items and heavy materials must be identified and accepted separately.
How does collection work?
Send item and access photos with your full postcode. We assess the load and receiving requirements, agree a quote and collection slot, then carry and load only the agreed items from safe access points.
How should I prepare?
Give approximate item dimensions. Empty drawers and cupboards. Tell us about stairs, lifts and dismantling. Do not move a heavy or unsafe item just to take a photo.
Do I need to be present?
You or an authorised person should confirm the items and provide access. An unattended collection must be specifically agreed in advance, with safe access and an unambiguous remove list; do not assume it is available.
What access information is needed?
Measure the furniture and the tightest doorway. Tell us about fitted units, glass panels and dismantling; an ordinary furniture collection is not building work.
What affects the price?
Size is only part of the price. A solid cabinet, powered recliner and light table differ in weight, carrying and disposal needs. List every piece before the quote.
What happens after collection?
Upholstered seating can require separation and a dedicated POPs route. Do not cut up foam to disguise the item as general rubbish.
Official guidance: Environment Agency: upholstered seating and POPs · Householder waste responsibilities
Can furniture be taken from upstairs?
Subject to safe access and the agreed quote. Send the floor level, lift details and doorway or stair photos so the crew can assess it before the visit.
What alternatives should I consider?
Try resale or charity donation while the item is reusable and eligible. If disposal is necessary, compare council acceptance and outside-presentation requirements with a carrying service.
What should I do next?
Call 07912 343234, Monday–Friday 9am–6pm, or prepare a photo enquiry. Include the full item list, postcode and access. An enquiry is not a confirmed booking; wait for an agreed scope, price and slot.

Show the item and its route out
Size alone does not explain a furniture job. A wardrobe upstairs, a dining table behind a narrow doorway or an item in a basement can need extra planning. Photograph both the furniture and the access route.
02 / Good to know
Dismantling is agreed before the visit
Tell us if an item comes apart or is fixed to a wall. Do not dismantle damaged upholstered seating or cut cushions and foam to make a smaller pile. Describe the condition and ask what preparation is appropriate.

Reuse comes before disposal when suitable
If furniture is clean, safe and reusable, consider a charity, retailer take-back or local reuse scheme. Acceptance is their decision, particularly for upholstered items. When disposal is needed, item type can affect handling and price.
