The short answer
Useful answers, local options and the details to check.
Does this demo show a verified licence number?
No. It deliberately does not invent a registration number. The business should supply current carrier details for verification and publication on the production site.
01 / Good to know
Check the register
Use the official Environment Agency waste-carrier register or the route linked from GOV.UK. Check the collecting business details rather than relying only on an advert or a social-media profile.
02 / Good to know
Ask sensible questions
Ask where the waste will go, whether the route is appropriate for the materials and what receipt or paperwork you will receive. Keep the collection details and the agreed quote. Be cautious if the answers are vague.
03 / Good to know
Confirm the scope before collection
Describe appliances, upholstered seating, plasterboard and any unusual materials. A carrier registration does not mean a provider accepts every waste stream. Some items need an appropriate specialist route.
