The practical details for appliance disposal — before you decide to book.

What does this service include?

Unwanted washing machines, cookers, dishwashers and other appliances collected with access and safe preparation agreed first.

What can be collected?

Washing machines and dishwashers; Cookers and tumble dryers; Small electrical items by agreement; Fridges and freezers separately assessed. Acceptance and scope are agreed before booking.

What cannot be collected?

Asbestos, toxic or contaminated material, chemicals, clinical waste, gas bottles, explosives and unknown liquids are excluded from ordinary clearance. Specialist appliances, upholstered items and heavy materials must be identified and accepted separately.

How does collection work?

Send item and access photos with your full postcode. We assess the load and receiving requirements, agree a quote and collection slot, then carry and load only the agreed items from safe access points.

How should I prepare?

Identify appliance type and whether it is built in. Confirm safe disconnection arrangements. Include the room, stairs and parking route. Do not move a heavy or unsafe item just to take a photo.

Do I need to be present?

You or an authorised person should confirm the items and provide access. An unattended collection must be specifically agreed in advance, with safe access and an unambiguous remove list; do not assume it is available.

What access information is needed?

Show whether the unit is built in or freestanding and how it leaves the room. Tell us about residual water, steps and unusually heavy equipment.

What affects the price?

Appliance type, weight, extraction from cabinetry and access affect the quote. Electrical, gas or plumbing disconnection is not automatically included.

What happens after collection?

Electrical equipment needs an appropriate WEEE route. Refrigeration must be identified separately; data-bearing devices need a separately documented process.

Can you remove a connected gas cooker?

Do not assume gas disconnection is part of clearance. Arrange appropriate professional disconnection and tell the team what is required before collection.

What alternatives should I consider?

Ask the seller of a replacement appliance about equivalent-item take-back. A council bulky service or authorised household recycling centre may be suitable, subject to item rules.

What should I do next?

Call 07912 343234, Monday–Friday 9am–6pm, or prepare a photo enquiry. Include the full item list, postcode and access. An enquiry is not a confirmed booking; wait for an agreed scope, price and slot.

01 / Good to know

Tell us exactly what the appliance is

Send the appliance type and approximate size. Refrigeration equipment, built-in appliances and unusually heavy units can need different preparation or disposal arrangements. A photo of the item in place is more useful than a general description.

02 / Good to know

Disconnection is not automatically included

Arrange safe disconnection by a suitable professional where necessary. Do not assume the clearance crew can disconnect gas, electrical or plumbing installations. Tell us if an appliance is still connected before arranging removal.

03 / Good to know

Protect the loading route

Empty the appliance and describe any remaining water, awkward steps or tight kitchen access. Do not move a heavy unit alone just to take a photo. The crew can assess removal from its existing position.

A clear scope.
A tidy finish.

The crew removes the agreed items from safe access points and loads the van. Disposal type, weight and access are assessed before the collection.

Asbestos, chemicals, clinical waste, gas bottles, explosives and unknown liquids are outside ordinary clearance. Specialist items need separate agreement.
