Clear answers · no guesswork

The short answer

Useful answers, local options and the details to check.

Can an agent arrange the collection remotely?

Yes, the enquiry can be coordinated remotely, but authorisation, item instructions and a practical access arrangement must be clear and confirmed.

01 / Good to know

Identify the authorised contact

The booking contact must be entitled to arrange removal. Resolve the status of any left-behind belongings before collection; a clearance service cannot decide ownership or a tenancy dispute.

02 / Good to know

Separate property fixtures from unwanted items

List exactly what should go and what belongs to the property. Photograph furniture, white goods and rubbish in each room. Label anything excluded, particularly when the agent arranging the visit will not be present.

03 / Good to know

Coordinate keys and building access

Provide keyholder contact details, access hours, lift rules and a lawful loading point. Do not book a hard handover deadline around an unconfirmed collection slot.

04 / Good to know

Keep cleaning and repairs separate

A rubbish clearance is not automatically a deep clean, repair visit or inventory inspection. Agree those services separately with the appropriate provider and retain records of the clearance scope.
