The practical details for fridge & freezer removal — before you decide to book.
What does this service include?
Fridges and freezers are not ordinary mixed rubbish. Tell us the type and size so the team can confirm acceptance, disposal availability and the charge.
What can be collected?
Domestic fridges and freezers by agreement; Fridge-freezer combinations; Large American-style units assessed first; No assumed acceptance of commercial refrigeration. Acceptance and scope are agreed before booking.
What cannot be collected?
Asbestos, toxic or contaminated material, chemicals, clinical waste, gas bottles, explosives and unknown liquids are excluded from ordinary clearance. Specialist appliances, upholstered items and heavy materials must be identified and accepted separately.
How does collection work?
Send item and access photos with your full postcode. We assess the load and receiving requirements, agree a quote and collection slot, then carry and load only the agreed items from safe access points.
How should I prepare?
Send dimensions and a full appliance photo. Confirm domestic or commercial use. Ask for acceptance and any separate charge. Do not move a heavy or unsafe item just to take a photo.
Do I need to be present?
You or an authorised person should confirm the items and provide access. An unattended collection must be specifically agreed in advance, with safe access and an unambiguous remove list; do not assume it is available.
What access information is needed?
Give height, width and depth, especially for American-style units. Show the kitchen doorway and stairs without dismantling sealed refrigeration components.
What affects the price?
Unit size, handling difficulty and specialist treatment charges affect the quote. Acceptance and availability must be confirmed; a fridge is not ordinary mixed rubbish.
What happens after collection?
Fridges require specialist electrical-waste treatment. Keep refrigerant pipework intact and confirm the receiving route before booking.

Is fridge collection guaranteed?
No. The team must confirm safe access and a suitable disposal route first. Ask about current availability and retailer take-back if you are replacing the appliance.
What alternatives should I consider?
Replacement-retailer take-back may be the simplest option. Some Surrey councils currently suspend fridge collections; check the current local page rather than assuming a council booking is available.
What should I do next?
Call 07912 343234, Monday–Friday 9am–6pm, or prepare a photo enquiry. Include the full item list, postcode and access. An enquiry is not a confirmed booking; wait for an agreed scope, price and slot.

Confirm the route before booking
Refrigeration units need appropriate electrical-waste treatment. Availability can vary, so collection is subject to the team confirming a suitable disposal route. Do not include a fridge in a mixed-load quote without identifying it.

Size and access both matter
Provide the dimensions and explain whether doors or handles create a tight fit. Show the kitchen exit, hallway and stairs. Large units can require a different handling plan from a standard under-counter fridge.

Prepare without damaging the appliance
Ask about defrosting and safe disconnection, empty food and keep the unit secure. Do not pierce refrigerant pipes or dismantle sealed components. Retailer take-back may be an alternative when buying a replacement.
